128.

This is a story of how small the world (industry?) is. Years ago, my friend Graeme was asked to shoot an ad campaign for Adidas out in Los Angeles, we were living in New York at the time. He hired me to fly out with him and run the digital operations for the shoot. The day before we were set to leave, he told me to get to his place early because we had to shoot a director, Derek Cianfrance for City Magazine. Not a big deal. So Graeme and I packed up his gear along with our luggage and went to Brooklyn and to Dereks house in Brooklyn. Immediately when you meet Derek, you can tell he's someone you want to be around. Kind, energetic, passionate about his work and ours - which when shooting portraits makes for beautiful imagery. We shot him for close two hours and then headed straight to JFK an on to LA. Had a blast.

Years later, here I am living in Los Angeles working as an Art Director for an advertising agnecy. At the time, I was burried in a TV ad campaign but noticed that we were working on the ads for his new movie coming out: "A Place Beyond the Pines". Considering I met the guy and was in his house - I jumped over to my account execs office and told her I wanted to pitch in, but could only do one comp because of my work load with the other projects.

Next day Jen came into my office and told me they were going with my design. Certainly a small world. Ad turned out nice.

Here's Graemes portrait we shot that day. Check out his site, HERE
he's a hell of a photographer:
